“Senior representatives from broadcasters, unions and independent producers .....all agree that while multiplatform delivery is the future of television, there are large skills shortages in this area” Suzanne Kavanagh, Skillset. Full article by Suzanne Kavanagh
“This is not about YouTube, about the iplayer, about twitter, or about social networks. There is a challenge which the digital production sector has yet to fully take up. This is the challenge ... of responding to the opportunity – offered not by individual platforms - but by the great network of networks itself... The opportunity is to accept a changed relationship between audience and producer. But above all, the challenge is to understand the creative and commercial challenges offered by the emergence of the platform which will unite all media in all places at all times.”Gary Carter, Chief Operating Officer, Fremantle Media.
