Intermediate Visual Effects Scholarship

This training is funded by the NSW Department of Education and Training through the Strategic Skills Program.
This accredited intensive course is structured to develop your visual effects skills for film, TV, online and portable media. Through practical exercises and projects, the course program will focus on the following software and skills:
• After Effects
• Maya
• Compositing
• Green screen
• Rotoscoping
• Colour correction and retouching
• 2D/3D integration
• Storyboarding for VFX
• Creative storytelling through VFX
• Masking, motion tracking, and image stabilization

In this accredited Certificate IV level course, students will engage in practical exercises, and hear lectures from industry professionals. Subject to results of assessment, students will receive a Statement of Attainment from the Certificate IV in Screen and Media [CUF40107].
Course Commences: Induction Day: Sat 26th June 10am -1pm
Dates and Times: Thurs 8th July 6.15pm-9.15pm - Sun 12th Sep 10.00am - 4.00pm | [10] x Thursday Evenings 6.15pm- 9.15pm and [11] x Sundays 10.00am-4.00pm 15 places – by application only
Cost: Registration fee of $387 is payable by successful applicants or their employee [you may be eligible to pay a reduced fee]. All other costs are covered by DET & the course is valued at $1837.50. See application pack for more details.
Location: Metro Screen, Paddington Town Hall, cnr Oxford St + Oatley Rd Paddington, Sydney
Pre-requisites: Intermediate level Final Cut Pro & intermediate level Photoshop.
