Indigenous Screen Creators: What's The Law?

The workshop will focus on the legal issues affecting screen creators and includes presentations on copyright law, contracts and chain of title, as well as ICIP issues, online distribution and broadcasters’ requirements.

Each of our esteemed panellists will discuss how they got started in the industry as well as explaining the creative process of putting together an episode for a flagship show like “Masterchef”; including finding the story in the hundreds of hours of footage shot and the technical skill and stamina required to be a successful TV editor.

Represent Australia at the MPA CICE Film Workshop in Beijing 2011. The Motion Picture Association [MPA] Asia Pacific partners with the China International Copyright Expo [CICE] to host the MPA-CICE Film Workshop in Beijing this December. 

The National Pitch 2011 was held on 12 Oct at The Chauvel in Sydney.
