INNOVATE PRODUCTION SUBSIDY
Metro Screen is looking for two projects that think out side the box for our INNOVATE PRODUCTION SUBSIDY. We are looking for projects that push boundaries either in its content or for you as a creative practitioner. If we love it you could bag yourself free use of Metro Screen’s digital production equipment, post-production suites and studio facilities up to the value of $5000.

Jump Start
Jump Start production grants offer $45,000 worth of equipment and facilities annually with three application rounds. Successful applicants can access Metro Screen’s high quality equipment, studio and post production facilities to offset your production budget.

First Break
Ten projects for emerging filmmakers are produced at Metro Screen under the First Break program with $4000 cash, $1000 equipment hire and post production facilities, a short course in editing, a professional to assist editing the script and an experienced Supervising Editor to mentor the film all the way to screening.

Breakout
With the support of Screen NSW, two content driven projects up to 15 minutes are selected to receive a cash budget of $15,000, production subsidy of $1,200, a Supervising Producer to support the project, a $600 editing short course and a full funded cinema screening.

Indigenous Program
Funding and producing opportunities for Indigenous screen and content producers; Three projects in the First Break program are reserved for emerging Indigenous filmmakers each receiving $4000 cash, $1000 equipment hire and many other benefits. Out There and Deadly is a program with over $30,000 cash for early career Indigenous producers interested in telling stories for TV. Breakthrough offers $22,000 cash and $3,500 in production facilities for experienced filmmakers who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Straight Islander to take that next step.
