ABOUT THE METRO SCREEN NETWORK
Metro Screen Network is a collective of Metro Screen members who meet on a monthly basis. Meetings offer the opportunity to network with other members, pitch projects for equipment use, screen works for feedback, share skills and resources and collaborate with each other to produce films, TV content and new media projects. The group also runs workshops and industry panel talks lead by professionals who offer tips and advice on finding success in the industry.

So if you’re looking to meet like-minded people, help on productions or find crew for your project; come along and meet the group.

Pitching Session
Metro Screen is holding its Pitching Session on Tuesday 1st July and the winner will now represent NSW in a national pitching competition at SPAA Fringe to win a major industry prize PLUS $2000 cash!

WHEN: Tuesday, July 1st 6.30pm – 8pm
WHERE: Metro Screen, Paddington Town Hall, Cnr Oxford St and Oatley Rd, Paddington
COST: FREE for Metro Screen members, $10 for non-members

On July 1st, ten people will be given the opportunity to make a three minute pitch (max) in front of a panel of industry professionals and a live audience. Please note: you must be a current Metro Screen member to pitch.

Each pitch will be followed by feedback and questions from the panel, who will award prizes to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

1st prize: free SPAA Fringe conference pass and the NSW place on the SPAA Fringe national pitching competition.
Representatives from each Screen Development Australia organization (NSW: Metro Screen, VIC: Open Channel, QLD: Qpix, SA: MRC Centre, WA: FTI and Tas: Wide Angle Tas) will battle it out in a pitching rumble at the SPAA Fringe competition [October 24, 25]. Presenting to a panel of judges, they will be pitching for the $2000 cash prize and a major industry prize (tba).

2nd prize: 12mth complimentary Screenhub membership

3rd prize: $50 voucher for The Film & Television Specialist Bookshop, Newtown

As always, there will be opportunities to network, meet other members and announce calls for crew and cast for your next production. For more information contact the Network Co-ordinator, Michael Chrisoulakis, on network@metroscreen.org.au.

The MPG SUBSIDY – PITCHING SESSIONS

Metro Screen supports the development of MPG projects through an annual $15,000 Production Subsidy for equipment and/or facilities. Four times a year, MPG members are given the opportunity to pitch their ideas at formal pitching sessions. In a truly democratic fashion, the MPG group votes to decide how much support the pitched projects receive.
