The first time Kathleen Hrayssi understood the power of stories through the screen was as a 12 year old. The feature was Roman Polanski’s Bitter Moon. She understood that humans are complex things and that not only books could transport you to another world.

While completing her course in Communication and media at TAFE in Sydney in 2009, she was published in a magazine and later on in a local newspaper. She soon realized rather than writing about other people or events, she preferred writing stories from her heart. Believing her imagination can take her anywhere; in November 2010 she started writing her script for a feature film, idea which had been in her mind since she was 12. To further her knowledge, in November 2010 she undertook a Screen Production course where she gained useful information on the film industry in Australia as well as abroad.

Her first film,  Lie to Me is the result of a passion for film noir and many a night watching Hitchcock, life stories and beauty that only the screen can capture.
